Digitize + Reproduce
Whether you're an artist who's ready to invest in professional reproductions of your work or you need to digitize a collection for archival or academic purposes, Bay Photo's capture and printing services will bring out the best in your originals.
Consult
Since every artist has different goals for their artwork reproduction, we like to start with a consultation to see which of our services are best for you. We understand that some originals may need special handling, additional retouching, or formatting and we're happy to work with you to make sure your art is handled carefully
Capture
Our studio is equipped to handle a wide range of artwork shapes and sizes from miniature drawings and paintings to large framed pieces. With the ability to lay items on a copy stand with and without cover glass or hang them vertically in our wall-mount, we have options to handle artworks up to ~4x8 feet. (Please contact us if you have larger pieces or pieces with unusual handling requirements and we can let you know if we have the facilities to
Once your piece is prepared for shooting, we photograph it with a medium format digital camera that is tethered to our color calibrated display so we can check for critical sharpness and color as we shoot.
Color Match
One of the most important steps in the digitization process is matching the color of the digital capture to your original. By viewing the original in an evenly illuminated light booth side by side next to our computer display we manually adjust every file to closely match your originals. If you have any specific requests for color or retouching, we make those additional adjustments.
Once your artwork has been captured and you've downloaded your files, head over to bayphoto.com to order prints. With options for canvas, metal, framed prints, and a range of fine art papers you can find an option to suit any type or artwork or client request.

Testimonials:
House of Boys
"As an emerging artist in Santa Cruz, California, Bay Photo Park Ave has helped me start my online business by photographing my acrylic abstract paintings with high resolution photo pro captures. I now sell prints of my paintings globally because of these amazing captures that I use to print out large and small giclée prints."

Caryn Owen created abstract paintings while simultaneously balancing motherhood and a career as a marine biology professor for years. In 2014, she left marine biology behind to focus on art. Using acrylic paint on canvas, Caryn creates abstract landscapes, abstract botanicals, or pure abstract expressionist paintings focusing primarily on color rather than form in her studio in Santa Cruz, California.
